African Innovation Series Phase II: AI Agents & AI for Developers and Innovators
A three-day, hands-on AI training bringing together students, developers, entrepreneurs, and innovators from across Zambia to move from understanding AI to actually building with it. Organised by the Youth Initiative to Innovate Zambia (YI2IZ) in collaboration with AFICODERS Nigeria, under the theme "Building Intelligent Solutions for Africa's Digital Future."
Over three days, you'll work directly with AI agents, large language models, Python, APIs and tool integration, JSON, and memory systems, guided by practical sessions rather than pure theory. Alongside the technical training, the programme includes a financial literacy session, a mental health and wellbeing session, guest talks and panel discussions with speakers from tech, film, entrepreneurship, cybersecurity, and career development, and a closing pitch and showcase where you present what you've built.
No prior coding background is required. Whether you're a developer, a student in any field, an entrepreneur, or simply curious about where AI is taking your industry, this training is built for you.

Pitch & Showcase Session
The closing highlight of the African Innovation Series Phase II. After three days of building with AI, participants take the stage to present what they've created, whether that's an AI agent, a tool, or a solution to a real problem they identified along the way. Each team pitches their idea to a panel of judges from the tech and business community, walking through what they built, why it matters, and how it works. It's not about having a polished, finished product; it's about showing the thinking, the problem-solving, and the progress made over the three days. Judges offer real feedback on the spot, and standout pitches get recognised in front of the full room. Come support the innovators, or better yet, be one of them.
